How
to Install Plasterboard to Ceilings
Installing plasterboard
to ceilings has always been a difficult task,
normally one that requires two men – one
at each end of the plasterboard to help offer
it up to the ceiling joists. Only once the plasterboard
panel is up against the joists can you then use
a T-bar to keep the plasterboard panel held temporarily
against the ceiling whilst one of the guys quickly
fixes the plasterboard securely to the ceiling
joists using nails or screws.
There are various
dangers involved in this, including potential
injuries to the back from lifting up the plasterboard
(which itself is an awkward shape and weight even
for two people to lift and place precisely against
the ceiling.
Luckily there
are various tools on the market that make the
installation of plasterboard onto ceilings much
easier, however these plasterboard tools are often
large, bulky, heavy, and take up a lot of storage
space.
An example of
such a tool used for installing plasterboards
to ceilings is the plasterboard hoist, otherwise
known as the plasterboard lifter. This plasterboard
hoist is a huge piece of kit, and requires dedicated
storage space.
