you an instant decision online.

when applying for a credit card.

If
you have had credit problems in the past, it is often worth
checking your current credit status using a company such
as Experian. Companies like these hold records of your credit
history and are often used by credit card providers during
their decision-making process to see whether or not they
will offer you a credit card, and also what limit they are
happy to extend on your credit card. You should always be
100% honest with the provider at application stage with
reference to bad credit, as not being forthcoming with information
on your credit history will only hamper the application
process, the providers have access to all the credit files
against the individual applying.
