How
Much Can I Make?
This type of business is massively scalable
if you find a good product and price is competitively.
Start off modestly by selecting a few different
product line from different suppliers. Test
the water with each and see which are popular,
which generate a good profit margin, which simply
just don’t sell much, etc. You can then
drop those that are not performing and concentrate
on the better performing products.
Typically you
should expect to make £300-£500
per month fairly easily reselling products bought
from trade shows, then once you establish a
relationship with a supplier you can go on to
place bigger orders, get better discounts, and
make larger profits even just selling the same
amount of units. Popular household items are
a fairly safe bet for reselling, and by spending
some time on making your ebay auctions look
professional you should soon find that you are
selling a sensible number of items and making
£750-£1,000 per month income from
your sales. You can then continue to scale this
business model up further, researching new brands,
new products, visiting more trade shows and
taking on more suppliers to widen your exposure
and attract more customers.

Work
From Home?
Initially yes, if you are starting small then
you can easily keep hold of your stock at home
and grow the business from there. Many companies
choose to employ a fulfilment agent once the
business starts selling 20-30 units+ per day
– this agent is a company that will hold
your stock in their warehouse and send the orders
out to your customer based on the delivery information
you give them. This is the alternative to you
getting a business premise yourself.
